I’m still feeling like crap so am typing this sat up in bed, sniffling with a horrible cold. I know this is a spanking blog and I try not to get too newsy as you can find that elsewhere, but there are events that affect me, or shape who I was or what I enjoyed and just hearing about the death of Dennis Hopper has made me feel quite sad! One of Hollywood’s most gifted and versatile actors of his generation, I rarely saw a film with him in it that was a real turkey….from the classic “Easy Rider” to the movie below which first made me realize what sadism and masochism was all about in my youth, the infamous, and still one of my all time top movies – Blue Velvet
Who can forget the infamous scene below?
Dennis Hopper, you will be sorely missed.
Condolensces to his family (I will now return to my sick bed…)
Sadly, Chief  🙁
I admire his acting too. He never failed to surprise with the depth of his talent, his daring expression of it. He mastered the skill to draw you in, no matter the character he played. My compliments for giving this great actor’s passing its due attention. Be well soon.
Dennis Hopper will forever be remembered for his great acting. It’s very sad and a great loss. Not just for the movie industry but in general as he was a man of integrity. His most rememorable movie for me is Colors.
Regards,
Jennifer
