Chief, I love your blog – but it’s not exactly award-winning stuff. It’s not particularly literary, it doesn’t provide us with much insight into SOL, your professional life, or indeed anything related to our kink, and it doesn’t have any interviews or similar sorts of features. What it DOES have is tonnes of great free content, but that won’t win you any awards methinks (only a fair amount of affiliate dollars).
Thanks for the honest comments, I thought that some of my personality and humour/humor (wherever you’re from) was evident and it’s not just another promo blog or whatever like some others. However, I can’t really give a detailed insight into SOL (for example) though I suspect I’m closer to them than most as I don’t work for them, haven’t done so for nearly 2 years so wouldn’t hazard a guess as to what they’re up to and wouldn’t want to second guess! However, I do recall stories of when I was there or with a particular model – I also don’t want to be a mouthpiece for one particular site/network and want to remain as impartial as I can, I just promote/review and offer stuff I have seen/downloaded and been allowed to review that I find interesting – and hope others appreciate it like I do too.
As for interviews, I was particularly annoyed recently when I had gone to the time and effort to contact Sarah Gregory (for example) and offer a unique interview opportunity by giving YOU, the readers, a chance to ask her any question you liked and I’m sure it would have been a great post and a great advert for her fine site, but alas one measly question over 3 blogs over a week that I advertised this offer meant I scrapped it. I found that embarrassing and was quite pissed off tbh!
Maybe I will ask what people want from me?
Yes, I can do polls, I can do interviews, I can even get behind the scenes (this is something I am going to concentrate on in the coming year, actually). I really wanted this to become MORE interactive but maybe people just want to read this blog with their pants down and not bother asking for more interaction.
Anyway, this is pause for thought and I thank you for you frank comments.
